Gambling operators running for shares in US gambling online

Several casino operators based in US are looking forward to embrace with online gambling, even though federal standards are yet to support the concept. These operators are gearing up for attracting younger players in the market, which might generate USD 10-billion on a yearly basis from 2017.

A lot of land-based casinos are now teaming up with game developers. Casino executives support this move by saying that they are rushing into such moves, as they want to be in a better ground before the amendment gets implemented eventually. They are looking forward to design the site for combating fraud, underage and money laundering.

Brian Gamache, who is the CEO of WMS Industries Inc, a slot machine maker, was present at the Las Vegas’ Global Gaming Expo, when he said, “Online gambling is bound to make its presence felt. The biggest challenge, which we have, is it to get more customers to our industry.”

WMS is expecting to announce partnerships for providing online gaming platforms to land-based casinos. It will help the operators in capturing the younger market.

Last year, US Justice Department declared that online sports betting online are unlawful. For experts, this means that states can legalize other form of online betting, from poker to lotteries.

MGM, on their part, has already teamed up with Playstudios, a game developer founded by Andrew Pascal. Andrew, former executive of Wynn Resorts, has created this platform for online blackjack, slots and other conventional casino games.

Jim Murren, CEO of MGM, said, “We feel that there is a lot of money on offering in this arena, so we are embracing this opportunity.”
